Our Town
As children grow and develop, they learn to understand themselves, their caregivers and family, their neighborhood and then their community and city. Our smallest visitors will be welcomed explore their own movements and the lives of little creatures. Growing children will branch out in the surrounding activities where they can many of the different things there are to DO in the life, work and play of community. Each of the activities will be connected by elements of our community that we use every day, such as lampposts, mailboxes, sculpture, street signs and benches.
Visitors will be encouraged to:
- Explore the different things people do to help each other in our community.
- Understand the connections between ourselves and those around us in the community.
- Participate in different activities that go on every day throughout our community.
