Water and Safety

 

 

These will both be monthy programs within the museum and are free.  They will focus on children ages 4-6. 

 

  • Coast Guard and Fire Fighter Visit the museum to work with children.
    • Children are afraid of fireman due to the gear that they wear.  Have them visit with gear so the children can see what it looks like.
  • Have the firetruck come each time it is a Fire Safety Saturday.
  •  Teach basic water safety.
    • Don’t swim alone, life jackets, etc. 
  • Teach fire awareness and safety
    • Exit strategies
    • Spot fire hazards around the house
    • Smoke alarms
