Annual Events

Worldwide Day of Play

Worldwide Day of Play is an annual event designed to encourage kids and parents to turn off the television and play, especially outdoors. This annual walk happens in September and also includes dancing, bubbles, an obstacle course, costumed characters, face painting and more!

Once Upon a Halloween

Families once again can experience the magic of the museum after dark with our family friendly spook-tacular event! Come dressed in your best costumes for an evening of STEM based science workshops, ghostly games and a howling good time! 

Next Date: October 26, 4pm – 7pm

Kid's Rockin' Eve!

Come celebrate New Year’s at the museum very own “Times Square” with hourly ball drops, themed STEM activities, bubble wrap stomps, music dancing and more! 

Next Date: December 31st 10am-2pm

Quarterly Events

Sensory Friendly Day

This day is designed especially for children with special needs and their families. The museum will be closed to the general public to avoid large crowds while providing, altered lighting, sound modification, sensory activities and more!

Receive a reduced rate of $5 per person (Children under 15 mos. are free).

Museum Members are free. *Therapists and nurses are free with ID.

No pre-registration necessary.

Homeschool Day

Join us as we open our doors exclusively for homeschool families! So, come for a morning of play-based learning with the option of an educational add-on workshop.

$5 Per Person if registered ahead ($8 at the door), Museum Members FREE

Registration available one month prior.

This year’s dates (9am-12pm): 

  • Monday, November 13 (including add-on class: What’s the MATTER?)
  • Monday, February 19 (including add-on class: Step By Step Canvas Painting)

Join us for a morning at the museum specifically for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, their families, and /or caregivers. Be a child at heart! Play in our exhibits and create a work of art in our Imagination Station. 

$5 per person Caregivers FREE with ID


Fundraising Events

Golf Fore Kids

2015 marked 19 years of community supporters golfing for the cause of helping the children in our community keep dreaming and creating as we continue building educational programs for families. We are a place where children learn through play and adults learn to play again, strengthening the family bond.
